Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort

A Sunshine Coast Getaway in Noosa

A Night at Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort!

With just four days left before heading to Korea, camping felt like too much effort. So instead, I decided to squeeze in one last dose of summer before diving into Korea’s opposite season. Destination? Beautiful Noosa Heads!

Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort Location

Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort is located right in the heart of Noosa Heads, the main street of Sunshine Coast. Just across the street from the resort, you’ll find Noosa Beach, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby – so the location couldn’t be better.

Back in the day, Gold Coast was just an hour away from home, so we often visited there. But Noosa is a bit farther, about a 2-hour drive… It’s not exactly close, but for some reason, we’ve started visiting Noosa more and more.

Noosa is one of the top vacation spots for locals in Queensland, Australia :) The water is crystal clear, the vibe isn’t too hectic but still lively, and the place has a charming, cute feel – almost like a little holiday village.

I used to come here mostly for camping and would spend a day at Noosa Beach, but today, I’m staying at Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort, which is right by the beach!

Hotel Introduction

Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort can be quite pricey for what it offers. We stayed there using our Accor Plus benefits. While we had expectations, the hotel itself is a bit older, and the pool is small, with only one spa. Since we stayed in the most basic room, you could definitely feel the age of the hotel. However, the upside of older hotels is that the rooms are more spacious. For families with kids, having a large room is definitely one of the best advantages.

We stayed in mid-October. Even though the weather was hot, the water was cold, but the resort has a heated swimming pool, so it was perfectly comfortable to swim.

Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort also has a welcome drink corner next to the reception, offering free champagne or juice.

Noosa Reef Hotel

When we arrived in Noosa on the first day, we were pretty hungry, so we headed over to the Noosa Reef Hotel for lunch.

We kept it simple with schnitzels, burgers, and Liam had a kids’ meal (chips and nuggets).

What’s great about Noosa Reef Hotel is that they give kids a fun pack with coloring paper and crayons. It kept Liam busy until the food came, which was a big win!

Arrival at Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort

We arrived at Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort around 1 PM. Although check-in was officially at 3 PM, they had our room ready, so we were able to check in right away.

As soon as we entered the room, we changed into our swimsuits and headed straight to the pool for a swim.

The welcome drinks are only available until 3 PM, so we made sure to grab ours before the time ran out!

We finished our welcome drinks and headed straight back to the pool!

We spent the whole day diving and playing in the pool!

A really tiny jacuzzi.

Dinner at El Capitano.

After getting back to the room and showering, we decided to head out to the main street for dinner.

We kept it simple and ordered two pizzas from El Capitano, enjoyed them, and had ice cream for dessert. It looked like it might rain, so we skipped browsing the main street and headed back early.

The pizzas at El Capitano are wood-fired, and they were really delicious. Liam loved them and ate a lot. Pizza is always a great choice when you’re with kids!!

The Next Morning

One of the great things about Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort is that checkout is at 12 PM! Most hotels in Australia have checkout times around 10 or 11 AM.

Our family, who wakes up at the crack of dawn, had a simple breakfast at Noosa Beach House in the morning.

After breakfast, we crossed the street to Noosa Heads Beach and took a quick look around!

Noosa Heads Main Beach

Liam absolutely loves playing in the sand at the beach!

Now he’s so good at digging with his bare hands ><

He came out with his face still covered in sand, had breakfast, and then went straight back to the beach to play. :)

And before checkout, we even had one last swim in the pool!!

Liam’s totally hooked on diving lately, and he’s getting better and better at it!

Lunch After Checkout

After checkout, it was lunchtime, so we headed back to Noosa Reef Hotel, where we had been the day before.

Noosa Reef Hotel offers a great view of the ocean from a distance, and since it’s an open-air restaurant, it’s nice and breezy with a great atmosphere.

The food is typical pub fare, but it was really tasty.

We ordered a seafood platter and had our last meal in Noosa Heads, enjoying the feeling of being at the beach after a long time.

There was way more food than we expected, so we couldn’t finish it between the two of us and ended up leaving some behind…
