Grande Centre Point Space Pattaya Review

11DAYS Thailand Trip with a 4-Year-Old

MAY 2024

When I first saw Grande Centre Point Space Pattaya, it wasn’t the kind of hotel I liked, so I passed on it several times. But after much consideration, I ended up choosing it, even though it wasn’t really my style.

I never imagined I’d end up at a hotel with such a childish space theme on a holiday…

It’s definitely the perfect hotel for younger kids!

In the evening, the outside of the building lights up with colorful lights and space-themed decorations.

Grand Centre Point Space Pattaya has everything for kids!

The pool at Grande Centre Point Space Pattaya is perfect for younger children, and I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling with kids.

» Pool – lazy river, wave pool, water slide, infinity pool (not for kids), jacuzzi, foam party pool (weekends only), toddler-friendly water play area

» Tubes and life vests provided

» Mini golf

» Kids’ club (lots of toys) + activity programs

» Gym + sauna

» Arcade

» Massage shop (paid service)

Since it’s a new hotel, everything is clean, and since it was off-season, it wasn’t too crowded. However, it’s become quite a popular spot for locals, so most guests were local, and especially on weekends, there were even more.

On weekend evenings, there’s a night market in front of the Terminal 21 shopping center, so no need to look for another market – you can just enjoy it with the kids, grab some snacks, and after putting Liam to sleep, finish the day in the room with a cold beer. 😊

Location

Space Pattaya is within a 5-minute walk from Terminal 21 Shopping Mall. There are also several convenience stores around, and it’s situated at the edge of the city center, which makes it a bit less busy, perfect for traveling with kids.

It’s not far from anywhere, so walking is an option, but with a child, it can be tough in the hot weather. Luckily, the location is so convenient that taking a taxi is a great option.

We rented a car, but when Liam and his dad were chilling at the hotel, I easily got around by motorbike taxi to the shopping mall, massage shops, Big C, and more.

Being in the city center means traffic can get heavy, so taking a motorbike taxi is super handy – it cuts the travel time in half and is cheaper than regular taxis. Very convenient!

Space Pattaya Hotel: Space-Themed Interior

It Feels Like You’re in Space!

The space-themed decor in front of the elevator is also pretty cool. It really feels like you’re in another world!

The kids really loved the space concept of the Grande Centre Point Space Pattaya. Even when we were in the elevator, they kept looking at the pictures on the walls, totally fascinated. They loved every little detail of the space-themed hotel decor!

Hotel Room

The bed was spacious and super comfortable!

It was like two king-size singles pushed together to make one huge bed. It was so spacious that even with a big dad and the three of us, we had plenty of room. The bed was soft and incredibly comfortable, and there was a lounge chair next to it that was just the right size for Liam. You could pull the bottom out to turn it into a makeshift bed, which was honestly the best fold-out bed I’ve ever seen.

Liam claimed that makeshift bed as his own and didn’t want to leave it. It was so comfy that I guess he really loved it!

The chair was super comfortable, and the table was plenty spacious.

Every night, after Liam fell asleep, I’d go to the market and convenience stores to grab some beer and snacks. Then, I’d sit in the comfy chair and enjoy them. The table was the perfect size, and the chairs were so cozy, it made eating and relaxing so enjoyable.

Spotless room

what I really loved was the spacious shower area with a wide bench. It was so convenient for placing wet swimsuits, water toys, and shampoo. It made everything so much easier to use and organize.

Amazing pattaya sea view from our room

Since all the rooms are quite high up, I think most of the rooms probably have great views. We stayed on the 17th floor, and from there, we had a direct view of the Pattaya beach and the swimming pool. It was definitely a room with a fantastic view!

ice machines on each floor

As expected in a hot country, you could get ice anytime. We didn’t actually use it, but it was a nice touch to have it available!

Breakfast

The breakfast at Grande Centre Point Space Pattaya was truly impressive, just like you’d expect from a 5-star hotel. There was an automatic coffee machine, so you could enjoy as much coffee as you wanted. However, since we don’t usually eat much for breakfast, I did feel a bit guilty for not fully enjoying the spread…

I ended up just drinking coffee and nibbling on a few pieces of bread.

There was even ice cream for breakfast, and when Liam saw other kids having it, he wanted some too… So for two days, Liam’s breakfast consisted of ice cream!

Swimming Pool

On the first day, it rained heavily and the weather was gloomy, so it felt too chilly for swimming. But the pool water was surprisingly warm. Since it’s a hot country, I thought the pool water would be warm by default, but the next day, when the weather cleared up, the water was actually really cold. It seems that the pool water gets heated when the temperature drops below a certain level.

There’s an infinity pool (which kids can’t enter), a wave pool, a lazy river, a special event pool (for foam parties), a jacuzzi, slides, a small water play area for little ones, and a small playground.

There are also cute mini food trucks around, so you can grab a snack whenever you want.

The view of the pool at Space Pattaya

The pool with the space theme is even more beautiful in the evening when it’s lit up with pretty lights. It gives off such a cool, otherworldly vibe!

The wave pool at Space Pattaya

The waves come every hour, and they’re not too strong, making it a great spot for young kids to enjoy. It’s just the right amount of fun without being overwhelming!

River Cave Pool

The river pool is so long that after going around 2 or 3 times, it feels like about an hour has passed. Each section has its own unique concept, so it never gets boring no matter how many times you circle around. Plus, along the way, there’s a jacuzzi and a playground, so you can stop and play for a bit, then hop back in the lazy river. The day flies by like that! They offer free tubes and life jackets for kids. There are single, double, and even triple tubes available.

ou can avoid the pouring water by sticking to one side as you pass through.

water slide

I thought Liam would love slides like this, but it turned out that for kids his age, the slide was quite long, and since it was an open slide and dark inside, he got scared after going down once and didn’t want to try it again.

Play ground

There was a sand play area next to it and a small trampoline on the floor, making it a great spot for kids to have fun.

kids pool

t’s a space for younger kids to play, and even kids around Liam’s age had a great time here, sliding down the slides and playing tag with each other.

Kids Club

The Kids Club at Grande Centre Point Space Pattaya  was better equipped than any hotel I’ve seen before.

Since it’s still a relatively new hotel, it’s well-maintained, and they even had cars and train toys that 4-year-old Liam loves.

However, even though he wasn’t wet yet, we couldn’t enter in just swimwear!

On the first day, I had planned to go to the Kids Club to play before getting wet in the pool, but my plan didn’t work out, as they didn’t allow entry in swimwear.

Kids Club Activity Schedule

The schedule is packed from morning to evening.

If you play at the pool, hang out at the kids’ club, and join in the activities, you’ll feel like the day isn’t long enough!

They also have costumes available.

They have clothes and toys for pretend play.

A space for role-play and toys for the activity.

A small activity space for kids.

End of the Day

The day ends with a beer~

The lights on the ceiling are so beautiful.

It’s a space theme, and I just watched them for a while until I drifted off to sleep~
